Welcome to Valentino’s
Valentino’s was established in 1986 by Italian brothers Mario & Fermino diSilvestro who formerly ran a fine dining restaurant in Harrogate called Number 6. They wanted to bring traditional flavours from Italy and where they grew up in Pianella, Abruzzo. Valentino’s is now owned by Rick who was an apprentice at the age of 15, he runs it alongside Danny and Pablo, all of whom trained under Fermino for many years to provide a truly authentic Italian experience.
Rick & the team converted the 1700’s building in 2020 to offer 5 cosy luxury rooms as well as a revamp in the restaurant. All the rooms are en-suite and parking is available with 2 electrical charging points. The ethos of Valentino’s has always been a relaxed family friendly enjoyable experience. We hope to continue these values through the accommodation also.
Valentino’s refurbishment was designed with our traditional values in mind offering a piece of Italy in Yorkshire whilst catering for today’s demands. The family friendly restaurant, that now has disabled access, tells our story of the family celebrations and close relationships we have here, as you sit down and relax.
Our artwork is by Nadia Atura, Fermino’s daughter again forming part of the design and the family memories. Our drinks selection has been handpicked to give you the best quality.
Our cooking is the heart of what we do offering traditional styles including our wafer thin Roman pizza base designed by Fermino’s brother in law Alfredo, a well respected pizzaiolo in Rome. Danny hand makes all the desserts and is very generous with the Maraschino when making the Tiramisu.
“We deliver passion as a mark of respect to those who trained us in our food and service. We hope you get to experience this when you visit.”

Amazing Atmosphere It was an amazing atmosphere where you feel wanted and part of a community just like a large family. The food was sensational with every meal we ordered full of flavour. The staff were fabulous and would help my family and I whenever it was needed checking in with us without imposing. My family have been a handful of times now proving the service and food to be consistently high. I would 100% recommend - this is my family’s first choice of restaurant in Ripon!July 2020
